Type D
Self Tapping Insert Nuts provide a strong, permanent thread for wood and wood based sheet materials.
To install these Type D Insert Nuts, simply screw the self-tapping body into the base material. The unique external thread ensures positive locking and offers strong resistance against pull-out due to torsion or vibration.
The Type D Insert Nuts incorporate a flange which prevents splitting of covered surfaces and driving the Insert Nut in too far.
Typical applications include audio equipment, cabinets, chairs, desks and shop equipment.
